In a world hungry for change, the future of food begins in the soil.

Join us on Saturday, 23 May 2026 in the beautiful Glenworth Valley, just an hour north of Sydney, for an afternoon that celebrates Regenerative Farming.

Hosted by Matilda and Scott, this lunch brings together a panel of regenerative farmers sharing honest insights into what it means to farm in partnership with nature.

As the discussion unfolds, chef Charly Pretet - founder of Terra Firma Dining - will prepare a three-course feast cooked entirely over fire. Every ingredient thoughtfully sourced from regenerative and organic producers. Food as it should be: seasonal, elemental, deeply nourishing.

DATE - Saturday 23 May 2026

TIMING

  • Arrival from 12:15pm for drinks and canapĂ©s. Mingle, and immerse yourself in the experience and theatre of open fire cooking as Charly and his team at Terra Firma Dining create a feast from the very best regenerative and organic produce.

Sourcing ingredients

We source our animal products from small, family-owned regenerative and organic farms. Regenerative farming works to restore and enhance the farm ecosystem by putting soil health first, improving water management, minimising inputs, and using little to no chemical fertilisers or sprays. It’s a way of farming that leaves the land better than it was, while also drawing carbon from the atmosphere and storing it in the soil.

Our farmers deeply care for their animals. They roam freely on healthy pasture, eat natural grasses, and live low-stress lives right up until the moment they’re killed (there’s no way around that truth). Supporting these farms means fewer animals in industrial feedlots, which are far more harmful for both animals and the planet.

We source our fruit and vegetables through a local organic purveyor, choosing organic or spray-free options whenever possible. Our commitment to clean, sustainably grown ingredients is what sets us apart—and what makes our meals better for you, for the animals, and for the planet.

Heating Instructions - Ready Meals Serves 2

These instructions apply to our Ready Meals Serves 2 Range. For our Family & Frends Range Serves 8, please refer to specific heating instructions on the respective product page.

As a general rule of thumb, our meals are best heated from thawed. Frozen meals will take longer and can effect the tenderness of the protein.

From thawed: Pies will take between 30-45 minutes in the oven on 180C. Test the heat by sticking a knife inside and seeing if it comes out hot. Meals without toppings will take around 20-30 minutes on 180C.

Stove top is also an option for the meals without toppings. Simply pour contents into a pan and simmer on a medium heat.

From frozen: We recommend putting these on a lower heat (around 130C) so they can thaw and then bringing the temperature up after 45 minutes to 180C for another 30-45 minutes. Careful you don't burn the topping.

Our heating instructions are a guide only. Feel free to use your own common sense when heating your meals.

Mircrowave: Our containers are also microwave safe. Please remove the lid before popping into the microwave.

WHY OUR MEALS OFTEN SELL OUT

We cook in small batches and plan production carefully to protect the quality of our food and the integrity of our supply chain.

Many of our most popular meals sell out quickly because we don’t mass-produce or outsource. When demand spikes — which it often does — we’d rather sell out than rush production or compromise on ingredients.

Why don’t you just make more?

We source directly from regenerative and organic farms, many of whom grow animals specifically for us. Increasing production isn’t as simple as flicking a switch — it requires planning, notice, and consideration for the farmers we work with.

Growing too quickly can also mean compromises in quality, sourcing, or process. We’ve chosen to grow steadily and thoughtfully, rather than chase constant availability at any cost.

When do you restock?

Restock timing can vary depending on production schedules and supply. If availability is important to you, we recommend clicking the "notify me when back in stock" button so you don’t have to keep checking the site manually.

Is availability going to improve?

Yes — gradually.

We’ve grown significantly year on year and are constantly refining forecasting, production planning, and systems to improve reliability. That growth is happening carefully, with quality and our suppliers front of mind.

While we may never have unlimited stock, our goal is to make ordering feel easier and more predictable over time.

What’s the best way to order if I don’t want to miss out?

A few tips many customers find helpful:

  • Click the "notify me when back in stock" button
  • Have one or two backup meal options in mind
  • Stock up a little when you can if you’ve got busy weeks ahead
  • Sign up for newsletter updates

These aren’t perfect solutions — just small ways to make things smoother while we continue improving behind the scenes.

Why don’t you scale faster?

Scaling faster often means external investment, bigger facilities, and pressure to prioritise volume over values.

We’ve chosen to build a business that stays true to its principles: high-quality food, ethical sourcing, and long-term relationships with farmers and producers. That means saying no to certain kinds of growth — even when demand is high.

We missed out on something — should we let you know?

Yes, absolutely.

Customer feedback helps us understand demand patterns and improve planning over time. While we can’t always respond individually, we do read and consider what you share.

Still have questions?

If you’re ever unsure about availability, ordering, or restocks, feel free to get in touch at orders@thegoodfarmshop.com we have wonderful humans here happy to help.

Thank you for supporting slow food, made with care.
