GOT QUESTIONS?

Delivery

How do I know when my box will be delivered?

You will be able to choose your delivery date at the time of placing your order. (This won't apply to Wholesale and subsequent subscription orders).

In CART, you'll be prompted to select your delivery postcode and suburb. Then you will be prompted to select your delivery date (a calendar will pop up showing available dates to your area).

Please choose a date you'll be home most of the time or at least close by as we are unable to reschedule deliveries without ample notice.

The delivery date you chose will be noted in your Order Confirmation Email.
If you haven't been able to select your preferred delivery date or need to check again, please get in touch and we will let you know when to expect delivery. Email us at orders@thegoodfarmshop.com

WHAT TIME WILL MY BOX BE DELIVERED?

The courier delivers between 8am and 6pm.

Unfortunately, we can't request delivery times with the courier.

You should receive a text from the courier the night before delivery, advising that your box is on its way with a link to tracking and ETA.

Sydney metro customers - your text won't have a link - it will just state the expected delivery timeframe.

It's best to choose a delivery date when you know you'll be home or close by most of the time so that your frozen delivery is collected in a timely manner.

All customers should also receive a text once the box has been delivered.

WHAT IF I DON'T RECEIVE A TEXT FROM THE COURIER?

Sometimes - technical errors or telco service issues can affect text messages being delivered. This is beyond our control, so please, if you have selected your delivery date and know what day you're expecting delivery, please be on the lookout for the box. Feel free to contact us if you'd like us to check on your delivery. orders@thegoodfarmshop.com

CAN I GET DELIVERY TO A BUSINESS ADDRESS?

Yes you can, but please be aware that the courier delivers between 8am and 6pm.

You should receive a text from the courier the night before delivery with a 2-hour delivery window estimate, but please be aware that sometimes delays do occur.

You may need to be flexible in your working hours to accommodate the delivery. If this is an issue, perhaps delivery to your home address on a weekend would be better.

If you are booking delivery to a business address, it's helpful to the courier to include the name of the business when you place your order.

WILL THE DRIVER CALL ON APPROACH?

No, the courier driver will not call on approach and they don't knock on delivery either.

The text message you receive the night before delivery will give you the 2-hour delivery estimate and you should receive another text once the box has landed.

CAN I LEAVE DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS?

Yes please do! There's a space in CART, just above the CHECKOUT button where you can leave a note. Please be concise as the box label does have limited space.

The courier will follow your delivery instructions where possible.

If you miss adding the delivery instruction at the time of ordering, please reply ASAP to your Order Confirmation Email so we can add it for you.

Once we've uploaded deliveries to the courier's portal (which we do daily), we're unable to add instructions to the order.

Please note - the courier driver cannot deliver to the rear of your property, enter the garage or unpack your box into an esky. The default drop point is the front door/front porch.

If you have dogs that have access to the front of your property, the courier driver may not enter the property and is not responsible for securing gates. Please ensure your fur-babies are safely inside on the day of delivery.

WHAT IF I CAN'T TAKE DELIVERY AS PLANNED?

Deliveries cannot be rescheduled or redirected within 24 to 36 hours (depending on location) of the delivery date.

If something unexpected comes up, and you cannot take delivery, please make arrangements with a friend or neighbour to retrieve the box for you.

If you'd like to check to see if your delivery can be rescheduled, please email us at orders@thegoodfarmshop.com

HOW MUCH IS DELIVERY?

Delivery is free for orders over $250, or a $20 flat rate.

Ordering

Do the meals come frozen or fresh?

We deliver your meals frozen to extend the life and freshness. This does not effect the quality of meals, quite the opposite. Some meals will need defrosting, others you can put straight into the oven.

GIFT CARDS

Our gift cards are digital and sent by email. However, like our physical products, when you go to CART, you'll still need to select a delivery suburb and delivery date in order to proceed to CHECKOUT.

Don't worry - this won't affect the gift card delivery - it will still be emailed asap.

The easiest option is to select "pick up" instead of choosing a postcode and suburb, and then just select any date. This is simply so you can proceed to checkout and make payment.

We will email the gift card as soon as we see it land in the orders listing.

WHEN DO OUT-OF-STOCK MEALS GET REPLENISHED?

Most meals are restocked every week. The best way to find out when items are back in stock, is to go our website, click on the meal you're after, then scroll down a little to where you can select NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILALBE. You'll receive an email as soon as that item is back in stock.

How long will my meals stay fresh after I thaw them out?

Once you thaw the meals (safely in your fridge) they will be fine in your fridge for at least 3-4 days. General rule of thumb is pretty much common sense - if you open it and it smells funky you've probably left it too long.

Can I subscribe so I don't forget?

Yep! Subscribing gives you ultra convenience with a 5% discount. Plus after the 5th payment, you get upgraded to 10% off all renewals.

Minimum of 2 subscription orders applies, then you can edit and/or cancel your subscription anytime with ease.

To begin a subscription order, simply choose the "subscribe and save" option instead of "One-time purchase". You will need to select this option on each product you wish to subscribe to. You may choose between a monthly delivery or fortnight delivery.

Other discounts offered from time to time cannot be used in conjunction with your subscription. If you wish to use a discount code that you've been offered, you'll need to place a one-off order, and then you can resume your subscription.

How do I access my subscriptions?

Once you have placed your order you will be sent a subscription link where you can access your subscription portal. You can also access your subscription portal by clicking on the account tab (or person icon) on the top right of the shop. Then scroll down until you see "NEED HELP ACCESSING YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS? CLICK HERE". This will prompt you to pop in your email address and take you to the portal. If that fails, please email us at orders@thegoodfarmshop.com and we can send you a link.

DO YOU MAKE SERVINGS FOR ONE?

No we don't make single serves. When serving for one, the best advice would be to thaw the meal in your fridge the night before you want to eat it.  When you’re ready to heat and eat, just scoop out the portion you want into an oven proof dish or saucepan, and return the rest to the fridge. The remaining food will be fine in the fridge for 3-4 days.

What is Regenerative farming?

In a nutshell regenerative agriculture is a system of farming principles and practices that seeks to rehabilitate and enhance the entire ecosystem of the farm by placing a heavy premium on soil health with attention also paid to water management, fertilizer use, and more. It is a method of farming that improves the resources it uses, rather than destroying or depleting them. In addition to a long list of incredible benefits for farmers and their crops, regenerative agriculture practices help us fight the climate crisis by pulling carbon from the atmosphere and sequestering it in the ground.

Some Regen principals include:

Promoting biodiversity. Cover crops and crop rotation are two of basic principles of regen agriculture that lead to greater biodiversity. Eliminating or decreasing tillage. Reducing or eliminating the use of artificial fertilizers.Use regenerative grazing management for livestock.

Does Regenerative mean Organic?

No. Organic is about having no chemicals or pesticides on the land or crops. Whereas, Regen usually involves livestock and is more about the regeneration of the land through the management of livestock and farming practises. Which by default means minimal (if any) chemical, fertilisers, or herbicides.

Is the animal produce in your meals 100% grass fed?

Yes! Our cows spend their entire life on the farms, eating grass, and getting lots of Vit D from the sun. They don't spend a day in feedlots. Our supplier is the only company in Australia that is allowed to process the animals on the farm, which means no abbatoirs - and much less stress on the animals.

Are the animals treated well?

Yes! Our farmers care about their animals and make sure they have a very nice life right up until the moment they get killed. Sorry - but here's no avoiding that part. They roam freely over beautiful pastures, eat lush green grass and live pretty much stress-free. Some people will say you can’t love animals if you eat them, but we don’t agree. Cows bred and grown this way are so much better off than cows in feedlots so the more people who support this way of farming, the less cows there are in industrial-farmed feedlot situations, which is a horrible way for any sentient being to live.

About our farms

Provenir

We source our beef produce from Provenir. Provenir are passionate about animal welfare and land care and have relationships with small family owned farms across Vic and NSW. Each of those farms are committed to regenerating the land and have a high ethical standard for their animals.

We are proud to be one of the only ready-meal companies that use regeneratively-farmed, 100% grass fed, grass finished beef with a priority on animal welfare.

Tathra Place (Integrity Meats)

We source our pasture-raised, regeneratively-farmed Chicken, Lamb and Pork from Tathra Place run by Luke and Pia Winder. Their absolute passion is using animals as a tool to regenerate farm ecosystems and sequester carbon. Not satisfied with simply producing chemical and pharmaceutical free protein, the family has opened Integrity Meats in Goulburn, a butcher shop nourishing its local community with local produce. It is very much a family business and without everyone's support, including the kids, the show would not go on!

Our family farm

If you've seen Rachel's Farm or you've been following us for a while you know Til's parents have a working regenerative cattle farm. This was the genesis of The Good Farm Shop and the first farm we sourced beef from.
