  • A few questions about Gathered

    Mar 17, 2026

We’ve had a few questions come through about Gathered — An Afternoon of Fire & Food, so we thought we’d answer them here.

    What exactly is Gathered?
Gathered is a long table lunch celebrating regenerative farming. The afternoon includes a panel conversation with regenerative farmers, a smoking ceremony, a three-course meal cooked over fire by Charly Pretet (Terra Firma), and regenerative and organic wines from Stoke Wines and Natural Order Wines — all set in the valley at Glenworth Valley.

What kind of food will be served?
Charly Pretet will be cooking a three-course meal entirely over fire using seasonal regenerative and organic produce. Expect food that is simple, generous and deeply flavourful — cooked slowly over embers. Yes you can request a vegetarian meal.

    Will there be drinks included?
Yes. Guests will be welcomed with beautiful wines (there will be beer and sparking wine for those who don't drink wine) and from Stoke Wines and Natural Order Wine, both regenerative organic wineries. Drinks will also be served throughout the meal.

Who will be speaking on the panel?
We’ll be joined by regenerative farmers who are doing the work on the ground — Rachel Ward and Chris Balazs. The discussion will be about regenerative farming, their journey into it, and why it matters for our food system and our health. Scott will be discussing the production and consumer side and our journey as a business, and Matilda will be moderating this discussion. The conversation will be relaxed and conversational rather than a formal talk.

    Where is the event held?
Gathered will take place on the grounds of Glenworth Valley, just over an hour from Sydney and the Northern Beaches.

    Is this a commercial event?
No — the ticket price simply covers the cost of bringing the event together. We wanted to create a space where farmers and eaters could sit at the same table and talk about the future of food, while also having a beautiful relaxed day.

    How many seats are available?
We’ve intentionally kept it small — just 120 seats — we have sold over a third of tickets so if this is something you want to come to, please don't leave booking your tickets to the last minute.

If you’d like to join us, we’d love to see you there. Any questions please email Kim at orders@thegoodfarmshop.com and she will help!
