Employee Q&A - 10 quick questions and answers with KIM!
If you’ve ordered with us a few times, chances are you’ve chatted or emailed with Kim. So I thought it time for you to know her a little better!
Here are 10 quick questions and answers with Kim!
Til: What’s your role at TGF?
Good question! It has changed as the business has grown. Part of the roe is Customer Service, which encompasses processing the orders each day, and responding to customer queries. TGF is a small business, and usually that means wearing many hats. This includes helping to manage our e-commerce platform and keeping information up-to-date, product and menu management, operations tasks, liaising with suppliers, event organising, contribution to content when I can and I’ve even helped with packing orders on occasion. The rest of my role is whatever Til and Scott need me to do.

Til: What did you do before?
My background is in EA work and events organising.
Til: What do you like about your job?
I simply love the business. When I was looking to go back to work full time, I wanted to work for a business that was contributing to the world in a positive way, and TGF does that in spades!
Til: What do you find challenging?
Sometimes working from home can be challenging. I love going into the kitchen to feel like more a part of the team, but time-wise, it’s so efficient for me to work from home.
Til: Do you like your bosses? – hehe cheeky question!
I knew that question was coming, but I thought you’d ask me which one was my favourite, so I’m getting off easy!
I’m not saying this because you press “go” on my weekly pay, but honestly, I’ve never worked for two people I respect more. As far as I know, neither of you have MBA’s, but that hasn’t stopped you. I absolutely love and respect your hard work, persistence, resilience, creativity, humour, warmth and generosity. You guys rock!!
Til: Awwww, I’m blushing. What are your favourite meals?
Where do I start? Jill’s Satay Chicken, Lamb Moussaka, Pasture-Raised Chicken and Mushroom Pie, Eggplant Parmigiana, Shepherd’s Pie, Beef Ragu (especially for lunch – on sourdough wholemeal toast with avo, goats cheese and leftover roast veg).
Til: Your husband travels a lot for work so you often eat solo – how do you break the meals up?
I actually like to use the meals for lunch too – something substantial so I don’t graze all afternoon! I put a meal in the fridge before I go to bed, then by lunchtime the next day, I scoop out a portion to heat up for lunch. And if my daughter isn’t home for dinner that night, I’ll eat the rest of it for dinner. I don’t mind having the same nutritious meal twice in a row. Otherwise, I have it for lunch the following day too. Any left-over portion is fine in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Til: What was the last book you read?
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Tear jerker but totally worth it.
Til: What music are you currently listening to?
Everything! Music is like oxygen to me. My kids bag me because my playlist is simply called “music”. Let’s see…Noah Kahan, Jackson Browne, Kasey Chambers, Rob Thomas, Teskey Brothers, David Gray, Pete Murray, Morgan Evans, Gerry Cinnamon. My girls and I have second row seats for Josh Groban on Saturday night – that voice!!!
Til: Last podcast or show you loved?
Used to listen to podcasts, but honestly, it’s information overload sometimes. If I’m putting earpods in, it’s usually to listen to music or a session of meditation on the Calm App.
